Discovering Steam Punk in Pyrography – on the Larger Wooden Shoe - March 18 2015

Having discovered the fun of #Steam Punk and #Pyrography plus working on the unusual “canvas” of a Wooden Shoe from #Holland here is my latest piece of art.

I just completed my latest Pyrography work on a larger wooden shoe - in Steam Punk Style, looking inside and outside. The left side of the shoe is Steam Punk and the right side the garden side (outside). Nope you likely don't get it but Steam Punkers likely will.

The delight I find in the Steam Punk style is the “what if” of the design.  What if – there was no electricity? What if you looked inside a wooden shoe?  What if it was powered by Steam instead of Electricity and Electronics – the way that everything else is now?  What if there was a world that was not like ours and it was old but new with new ideas?

Steam Punk is fun and pensive at the same time. It is the impossible mixed with possibilities if your imagination is young enough to see what is there.
