Today’s Blog Post
The out of Body Experience
with my Old Car Memories
My friend Terry is completely responsible for my major Flash Back
Problem today. He sent me an email loaded with memories!
When I opened it and began looking at the photos in the email my
mind grabbed my body and away I went flying across Canada to southern Saskatchewan!
Whoa what a trip!
I was about 15 or 16 years old again. I was absolutely fascinated with
the automobile. I was about to get my
Driver’s License and become a “man”. In
1960s that is how every boy became a “man” – he got his license and then he
bought a car. And sometimes if the boy was
lucky he could buy the car before be got his license!!!
By the time I was 19 I had owned five different cars. My first was
a 1925 Model T Ford, the next was a 1937 Dodge Roadster Convertible Coupe, then
a 1947 Mercury 4 door, and then a 1951 Buick.
Oh the dreams that these vehicles gave me.
I followed these five cars with a 1951 Hillman, 1951 Volvo, 1957
Ford Fairlane, 1967 Plymouth Fury(Brand New). And I kept buying more… ran them
until they would run no more and then buy another.
Terry you gave me “rush” with the email. I am now passing it along
with the photos that came via Terry’s email.
At this moment I am celebrating my car history all over again.
Enjoy the photos shown below…
